The cars

The starting point for us is a very simple one, our driving school fleet consists completely of VW POLO BLUEMOTION cars. This is the lowest CO2 producing 'proper' car available in the U.K. Even lower then the much vaunted TOYOTA PRIUS The 99g/km carbon emissions are so low that it is one of the very rare cars that fall into tax band A*, which means it doesn't even qualify for road tax. Now that is low!

The fuel

The next step is to only use good quality ultra low sulphur Diesel in all our cars. This coupled with the cutting edge Diesel Particulate Filter that comes with the Polo Bluemotion cuts out a lot of the toxic emissions that are normally associated with diesel cars. Eventually when it becomes available, we would like to use Bio Diesel in all our fleet.

Carbon offsetting

The final step in our strategy is to offset all our fleet's carbon emissions. We do this by using the 'Target neutral' scheme run by BP. This is a scheme open to all motorists who wish to minimise the effect that their driving has on the environment. What the scheme does is calculate how much carbon emissions you produce over the course of the year and tells you how much money you should contribute through their sponsored regeneration projects across the world.

The office

We don't just try to be Eco friendly with our cars, we also do all the other simple things which anybody can do, like only using recycled stationary and office equipment. Also we only use Eco Friendly Printers for all our marketing and promotional needs, which are supplied by alocalprinter.com . We also recycle all our waste and use refilled ink cartridges.
